Representative of IOM Azerbaijan participated in the Tashkent migration forum
Baku - On 17-18 December 2020, the Ministry of Employment and Labor Relations of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Agency for External Labor Migration together with the International Organization for Migration organized an international forum "Latest migration trends, migration management and protection of migrants amid Covid-19 pandemic." The purpose of the event was to exchange views and discuss current trends in the field of migration management and protection of migrants, develop proposals for further improving the sphere and developing international cooperation.
In the context of restrictions on countering Covid-19, the forum was held in a combined mode: offline and online. On the second day of the forum, speeches were made on the topics of global and regional trends in the field of migration with the participation of representatives of the IOM, educational institutions, experts from Central Asia and Europe. Matanat Gahramanova, a representative of IOM Azerbaijan also attended the forum and presented the recently launched project "Supporting the establishment of the Regional Training Centre on Migration in Azerbaijan".

Regional Training Center for Migration in Azerbaijan would be an effective platform for strengthening education and training opportunities in the field of migration within and outside the region.
