The representatives of the IOM Azerbaijan visited newly constructed shelter building of the NGO Temiz Dunya Public Union
Baku - On 29 October 2020, Mr. Vladimir Gjorgjiev, the Chief of IOM Mission to Azerbaijan visited the shelter of Temiz Dunya PU and met with Mrs. Mehirban Zeynalova, Head of the Public Union and the staff of the shelter.
The guests viewed conditions created at the new building and Mrs. Zeynalova informed them about the shelter activities in the new building. She said that shelter can accommodate around 60 persons, women and children, victims and potentials victims of trafficking. The new shelter is equipped with furniture and necessary utilities and the four floors building houses workshops, bedrooms, classrooms, recreation and entertainment areas and a canteen.
In turn, Vladimir Gjorgjiev expressed satisfaction with the work done, wished the shelter management success and said that IOM will continue to support the shelter and the victims of trafficking thanks to the USAID funds.
