Counter Trafficking Curriculum and Handbook
Counter Trafficking Curriculum and Handbook were developed and published within the project “Enhancing Cooperation Measures to Effectively Combat Trafficking in Persons through Capacity Building and Technical Assistance in Azerbaijan – Phase IV” implemented by International Organization for Migration and funded by U.S. Department of State (INL). The objective of the publications is to strengthen national efforts to combat trafficking in persons by providing counter-trafficking training materials for judges, prosecutors and candidate judges, which will be used by the trainers and further by the trainees in the framework of the formal education programme of the Justice Academy of the Ministry of Justice of Azerbaijan.
School Activity Kit on prevention of human trafficking and safe migration
School Activity Kit on prevention of human trafficking and safe migration. The school activity kit has been published in the framework of Enhancing Cooperation Measures to Effectively Combat Trafficking in Persons through Capacity Building and Technical Assistance in Azerbaijan – Phase VI’ by International Organization Migration in cooperation with the Ministry of Education. It includes a guidance note to organize various extra-curricular activities such as art competitions, drama, forum theatre, role plays, essays, etc. and initiate discussion on prevention of human trafficking and safe migration. The kit can be used by teachers and even children from secondary or higher secondary schools to organize the activities independently at a later stage.
The book is in Azerbaijani.

Caring for Trafficked Persons
The publications include Caring for Trafficked Persons: Guidance for Health Providers and Caring for Trafficked Persons Facilitator’s Guide that were translated from English into Azerbaijani in the framework of the project ‘Enhancing Cooperation Measures to Effectively Combat Trafficking in Persons through Capacity Building and Technical Assistance in Azerbaijan – Phase V’ implemented by IOM with the financial support of U.S. Department of State (INL). The publications are curriculum and handbook respectively and are comprehensive documents developed with the aim to address the needs of health care professionals on providing victim centered, informed and sensitive health care to trafficked persons.
The Handbook on European Law Relating to Asylum, Borders and Immigration
The publication includes Azerbaijani version of the handbook on European Law Relating to Asylum, Borders and Immigration that has been translated into Azerbaijani within the framework of the “Consolidation of Migration and Border Management Capacities in Azerbaijan” (CMBA) project implemented by IOM with financial support of the European Union. The project is co-funded by BP and its co-venturers.
Jointly produced by the European Court of Human Rights and European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights, the handbook examines the relevant law in the field of asylum, borders and immigration stemming from both European systems: the European Union and the Council of Europe. It provides an accessible guide to the various European standards relevant to asylum, borders and immigration. With the handbook, the CMBA Project seeks to assist migration authorities in Azerbaijan as well as legal practitioners, civil society organizations and other bodies that may be confronted with legal questions in any of the areas the handbook sets out to cover.

Handbook on European Non-discrimination Law and its Update
Published in 2013, this publication includes the translation into Azerbaijani of the ‘Handbook on European Nondiscrimination Law’ (originally published in 2010) with its Update, and the Manual on Antidiscrimination Legal Framework and Referral Mechanism in Azerbaijan (contained in Chapter 5). The preparation of this publication was carried out within the framework of the project “Establishing Effective Mechanisms Safeguarding the Rights of Persons Involved in Migration in Azerbaijan”, implemented by IOM and funded by the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The Manual seeks to enhance awareness of legal practitioners such as judges, prosecutors and lawyers, as well as law-enforcement officers on the non-discrimination principles and to contribute to promoting their full-fledged understanding and practice on human rights protection. Manual is available in both English and Azerbaijani languages.
