The Chief of IOM Mission Meets the First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs
Baku - On 11 June 2019, Mr. Vladimir Gjorgjiev, the Chief of IOM Mission to Azerbaijan met with Mr. Vilayat Eyvazov, the National Coordinator for Combating Trafficking in Human Beings, the first Deputy Minister of Internal affairs, the police lieutenant-general.
Introducing himself Mr. Gjorgjiev expressed his satisfaction with the cooperation between the two organizations and interest in continuing to collaborate within the new projects. He said that the Ministry of Internal affairs is one of the most important partner of IOM Azerbaijan and the associates of the special police authority actively participated in workshops, conferences and trainings conducted by Mission in order to increase the capacities in the field of trafficking in human beings, forced labor and provision of assistance to the victims.
Mr. Vilayat Eyvazov expressed a deep gratitude to the guest for close assistance in implementation of state policy in this important field, and for the cooperation relationships being of great benefit for common work.
During the meeting opportunities for cooperation, proposals for new projects were discussed.
