IOM Azerbaijan First Publication - “TERRA Toolkit: Community Approach to Radicalization”
Baku - IOM Azerbaijan has launched its first publication, “TERRA Toolkit: Community Approach to Radicalization”, devoted to different issues of preventing violent extremism and radicalization as a part of USAID funded Community Resilience to Vulnerabilities (CRV) Activity, jointly implemented with the State Committee on Religious Associations of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The Toolkit takes a preventative approach towards radicalization leading to terrorism and it proposes a community approach designed to address and halt the progress of an individual through the possible radicalization process. It values the community approach as a starting point and is primarily meant to support existing or new networks of teachers, social workers, law enforcement, religious leaders, and local and national policy makers on exchanging information on young people or for example on people in a troubled neighborhood. It also informs journalists and policy makers on influences they may have on background factors of radicalization. The Azeri version can be found here.
The English version of the Toolkit was developed by TERRA project, a European network-based prevention and learning program, supported by the European Commission DG Home Affairs. The English version can be found in TERRA project's website: https://terratoolkit.eu/
