IT/Computer laboratories established by the IOM Azerbaijan were opened in regions
Baku - On 31 March and 1 April 2022, US Ambassador Litzenberger and Chief of IOM Azerbaijan Vladimir Gjorgjiev attended the opening ceremony of the IT labs at the Astara Pedagogical College and Lankaran State University. These laboratories were established by IOM Azerbaijan within the Public Action for Resilience (PAR) Activity project, funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), to support local actors and higher education institutions in the field of education and vocational training of young people in the region.
As part of a three-year project to strengthen the economic sustainability of youth and women, USAID and IOM Azerbaijan have established five USAID computer labs in Azerbaijani educational institutions to create better opportunities for students to study information technology, computer science, and languages.
