Representatives of the IOM Azerbaijan Attended a Beach Clean-Up Event
Baku - Representatives of the IOM Azerbaijan attended a clean-up event on the Shuvalan Beach to celebrate the World Environment Day and the 30th anniversary of the UN-Azerbaijan partnership.
The event was jointly organized by the UN Office in Azerbaijan, IDEA Public Union, the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, Tamiz Shahar OJSC, and the Youth Foundation.
More than 200 young people, as well as government and UN officials attended a beach cleanup event.
About 1 ton of collected plastic and other types of waste were handed over to Tamiz Sahar OJSC for recycling.
