Representatives of IOM Mission in Azerbaijan Visit Confederation of Trade Unions of Azerbaijan
Baku - On 10 June 2019, Mr. Vladimir Gjorgjiev, the Chief of IOM Mission to Azerbaijan met with Mr. Sattar Mohbaliyev, the Chairman of the Confederation of Trade Unions of Azerbaijan.
Introducing himself Mr. Gjorgjiev expressed his satisfaction with the cooperation between the two organizations and interest in continuing to collaborate within the new projects.
For his part, Mr. Sattar Mohbaliyev gave valuable information about a history of the Confederation of Trade Unions of Azerbaijan, the largest public organization in the country, its local and international projects, achievements, and role of the organization in protecting workers rights.
Mr. Mohbaliyev said that a working group was set up at their organization on the work with migrant workers. The main purpose of the working group is to inform, explain the rights to migrant workers, support and help them.
During the meeting opportunities for cooperation, proposals for new projects were discussed.
