The representatives of IOM Mission to Azerbaijan visited the shelter of Azerbaijan Children Union
Baku - On 30 December 2019, Mr. Vladimir Gjorgjiev, the Chief of IOM Mission to Azerbaijan visited the shelter of Azerbaijan Children Union and met with Mrs. Kemale Aghazade, head of the Union and the staff of the shelter. The funding organization of this shelter is USAID.
Mrs. Aghazade informed the guests about the activities of the shelter and their work in support and reintegration of the victims and shelter beneficiaries, as well as their ideas regarding new projects.
In turn, Vladimir Gjorgjiev said that IOM will continue to support the Union’s shelter and he will work with partners in finding funding options that are needed for the Union’s new projects for improving quality of services and living conditions of the victims and beneficiaries.To date, the IOM Azerbaijan has so far renovated several shelters for victims of human trafficking, victims of human trafficking and domestic violence in the capital and regions, including this shelter.
