IOM has accumulated a wealth of expertise and experience in managing migration globally and offers governments its expert technical support in developing policy, legislation, administration and systems to better understand and manage migration. This capacity building can help lay the foundation for further cooperative programmes of assistance to migrants and governments.
IOM provides advisory services and technical training to national migration authorities to strengthen their capacities to develop and manage migration policy, legislation and administration.
