Activities to commemorate World Day against Trafficking in Persons continue
Baku - The activities of NGOs supported by IOM Azerbaijan to commemorate World Day against Trafficking in Persons continued during this week. On 1 August 2021, the Clean World Women's Aid Public Union organized an auction exhibition of paintings and handicrafts of the children of the shelter of Public Union.
Supported by IOM's “Counter-Trafficking In-Person” project funded by USAID/Azerbaijan, the specially designed exhibits reflecting the children's rights and their vision for the future were demonstrated at the exhibition.
The money from the sale of children's drawings was transferred to the Fund for Assistance to Victims of Human Trafficking of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
On the occasion of July 30 – the World Day against Trafficking in Persons, the staff and residents of the shelter operated under Tamas PU disseminated over 200 flyers on counter-trafficking to Ganja residents in Haydar Aliyev park in Ganja.
