Chief of IOM Azerbaijan Took Part in the Visit of UN Delegation to Aghdam District
Baku - On 4 March 2022, Vladimir Gjorgjiev, Chief of IOM Azerbaijan, took part in the visit of a delegation led by Executive Director of the United Nations Program for the Promotion of Sustainable Development of Human Settlements (UN-HABITAT) Maimunah Mohd Sharif to the Aghdam district.
The delegation was met by Emin Husyenov, the representative of the President of Azerbaijan in the territories which are part of the Karabakh economic region. He informed the delegation about the restoration work being carried out in Aghdam and other territories and explained the Azerbaijani government's approach to the restoration process.
The delegation visited the Alley of Martyrs and the Drama Theater in Aghdam as part of the trip.
The executive director of UN-HABITAT held a series of meetings with the country's officials during her visit to Azerbaijan.
