IOM Azerbaijan launched training on basic business skills for victims of trafficking
Baku - IOM Azerbaijan launched training on basic business skills in Baku and Ganja city within the “Counter - Trafficking in Person (C-TIP) Activity” project funded by USAID. The project seeks to assist the Government of Azerbaijan and civil society organizations in combating trafficking in human beings by improving the protection of potential and actual victims of trafficking and forced labour through provision of direct assistance.
The trainings were attended by selected female participants among victims of trafficking, potential victims vulnerable to trafficking and domestic violence affiliated with the NGOs Clean World PU and TAMAS Regional Development PU. During the training participants got familiar about basic business concept, conducting small business, marketing strategy, drafting business plans and they were encouraged to compose their own business plan based on their interests and ideas. Following the training, potential business plans evaluated by trainers will be awarded with further grants which will assist reintegration of the victims and potential victims into society.
