Representatives of the International Organization for Migration and USAID had a meeting at the Ombudsman's office
Baku - On 27 February 2020, IOM Azerbaijan organized a meeting of representatives of the US Agency for International Development (USAID), Mark Goldenbaum, Eileen Lawless, Parviz Musayev and a project assistant at IOM Azerbaijan, Gunel Mehdiyeva with Zaur Velimammedli, the head of the sector of international relations, and Turan Jahangirova, the head of the sector for the protection of the rights of refugees, IDPs and migrants.
During the meeting the questions of the guests were answered, the issues of mutual interest were discussed, the sides exchanged views on the prospects of further cooperation.
The purpose of these meetings is to analyze the activities of the Agency's governmental and non-governmental partners in the field of combating human trafficking in Azerbaijan and to develop new project ideas in this area. IOM Azerbaijan is currently implementing a project to combat human trafficking with the financial support of USAID.
