Representatives of IOM Azerbaijan acquainted the youth with IOM's projects
Baku - On the 2nd day of UNSDG Camp, the youth had a glimpse of the project implemented by IOM Azerbaijan on renovating traditional water supplies and integrated rural development for IDP communities.
On 16 August 2022, the 2nd day of the UNSDG Camp, the representative of IOM Azerbaijan took part in the meeting with the youth.
Ilgar Khudiyev, Media & Communication Associate of the Mission, told the youth about the activities of IOM in the country and joint projects with partners.
Arzu Musayev, an expert of the project "Integrated Rural Development for IDP communities in Azerbaijan through Revitalization of Kahriz Water Supply System” financed by the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) ", in his turn, made a presentation on the opportunities created by the project implemented by IOM for local communities, as well as the role of kahriz in restoring ecologically clean and sustainable water supply systems in Azerbaijan.
The event was held in the framework of the “UN-Azerbaijan 30” week dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the UN-Azerbaijan partnership and YayFest2002. During the week from 15 to 19 August, UN agencies in Azerbaijan join the camp to discuss UN activities and opportunities for youth involvement in achieving SDGs.
