Representatives of IOM participated in the summit of the Heads of State and Government of the Non-Aligned Movement member-states
Baku - Ms. Szabados, Argentina the Regional Director of UN IOM’s Regional Office in Vienna for Southeastern Europe, Eastern Europe and Central Asia on behalf of the UN IOM Director General, together with Vladimir Gjorgjiev, IOM Azerbaijan Chief of Mission participate in the 18th Summit of the Heads of State and Government of the Non-Aligned Movement member-states which is held in Baku on October 25-26.
The summit hosted by Azerbaijan brought together representatives of 72 member states, 20 guest countries and 31 guest organizations including IOM.
The Non-Aligned Movement unites 120 countries of the world. NAM, one of the important multilateral mechanisms. Today, the NAM is the second political platform after the UN, uniting in its ranks the biggest number of countries.
