Representatives of the UN International Organization for Migration visited the Azerbaijan State Border Service
Baku - On 24 October 2019, Ms. Szabados, Argentina the Regional Director of UN IOM’s Regional Office in Vienna for Southeastern Europe, Eastern Europe and Central Asia and Vladimir Gjorgjiev, IOM Azerbaijan Chief of Mission met with Colonel-General Elchin Quliyev, the head of the State Border Service.
Welcoming the guests, the Head of the Service spoke about the innovations and projects implemented by the State Border Service, as well as the effective cooperation with the International Migration Organization, one of the main partners of the State Service.
The Regional Director of the IOM, Ms. Argentine Sabados appreciated the relationship between the SBS and the IOM. She expressed confidence that the cooperation would continue successfully.
The sides also exchanged views on the current cooperation, as well as prospects for further cooperation.
